- This unit comes with TX-4 outside sensor. Reads both temperature and humidity. We have been buying, selling and using La Crosse weather systems for 20 plus years. I have personally have a TX4 sensor that is 15 plus years old. The humidity function quit about 5 years ago but the temperature function works great and still accurate. I think the dome that covers the actual sensor from the elements is the reason they last so long. We would recommend the TX4 for 90% of the 433 MHz units
